You look like you have it together. Inside, it doesn't feel that way.

Call me directly. We'll start there.

You show up for everyone else.
But the noise underneath doesn't stop. Maybe your 2 a.m. voice sounds something like this:

"I'm not good enough."

"Why can't I just handle this?"

"I can't keep doing this."

THE STRUGGLE

Most of my clients are high-functioning. Most were managing careers, raising children, and maintaining relationships when they called me.  But just underneath the surface they were suffering from: persistent anxiety, emotional reactivity, repeating relationship patterns, a harsh inner critic, and shame about not being able to handle it.

It shows up differently for each person.

Panic for some. Avoidance for others. Anger that feels disproportionate. The same kind of partner chosen again and again. The common thread: they had all stopped trusting themselves.
Watch this video to get a personal introduction to my work — and to the kind of space I hope to create for people who are ready to understand themselves differently.

What’s Actually Happening

These reactions usually trace back to core beliefs formed early in life:

"I don't matter."

"I'm not enough."

"It's my fault."

When these beliefs are triggered, your nervous system reacts as if the past is happening now, even when it isn’t. Over time, thoughts, memories, and reactions knot together into one overwhelming thought and emotional pattern that forces you to behave in ways you don’t like and don’t feel good.
Therapy isn't about erasing your past. It's about helping your brain and body untangle what's knotted, so the past stops driving how you live and feel today.

How We Work

Symptoms first. Then roots. Then a new way of living that works better for you and the people you love.

01

Stabilize

If you’re waking in panic, stuck in rumination, or reacting in ways that feel out of control, we start there. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we name the thought patterns and triggers driving your reactions, and interrupt the cycle. You leave the first few sessions with structure and tools you can use right away.

02

Process

When you’re ready, we go deeper. Using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), we work with the unresolved experiences that keep activating those core beliefs. EMDR helps the brain process past events so they no longer drive your present reactions.

03

Integrate

What you learn in session, you practice between sessions. You’ll track your patterns and start to notice yourself responding instead of reacting. Change requires participation.

My Approach

Clients describe my style as steady and grounding. I offer emotional safety, clear structure, direct feedback, and accountability. I’m warm and nonjudgmental. I’m also active and engaged. My role is to guide the process. Your role is to do the work.
A note for clients living with Bipolar Disorder: Every presentation is different, and I don’t position myself as a single-diagnosis specialist.
What I offer is a steady, consistent place to make sense of your patterns, stabilize what can be stabilized, and check in honestly: “Am I okay?” As long as you’re doing your part, including medication if prescribed, we can do good work together.

What Changes for My Clients

Most clients begin to feel relief within six sessions. That’s when I start to hear things like:

"This makes sense now."

"I understand why I react that way."

"I feel calmer."

The goal is  contentment, self-sufficiency, and the kind of self-esteem that comes from your actions matching your values. Then, being able to respond instead of explode, set boundaries without collapsing or experiencing longer and longer periods of   inner peace.

The Cost We Don’t Like Thinking About

Patterns rarely resolve on their own. The same arguments, happening over and over, drain more energy with each cycle. Repeating the same relationship pattern extracts a compounding toll.
But the toll doesn’t stop at you. Most moms intuitively know that children inherit the nervous system they live around. You don’t need a crisis to begin. You only need to be willing to break the patterns.

Ready to Begin?

If you’re in crisis, or just tired of repeating the same patterns, call me. We’ll start with one question: Tell me what’s going on. I’ll listen while you get it off your chest. If we’re a good match, we’ll begin.
